PDICC will be able to provide up to date information about new warnings and recalls related to drugs. Health care professionals will know what and why certain medications have been discontinued from the local and international market and to get an advice about what to do in these cases.
PDICC will analyze these updates and recalls and classify them according to the following criteria:
Type I Recall is a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a given product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death.
Type II Recall is a situation in which the use or even the mere exposure to a dangerous product or drug can cause temporary or medically-reversible health effects. It is also a situation in which there is a remote probability of serious adverse health consequences.
Type III Recall is a situation in which the use of or exposure to a dangerous product will not likely to cause adverse health consequences, but the product has violated FDA regulations.
